Genetic Disease Research Project

Situation:  A friend has just found out that a member of his family has been diagnosed with a genetic disease.  He would like to have you tell him about this disease.

Assignments:  There are three parts to this assignment

Part 1.  Complete the questions on the worksheet you were given in class and use these answers to complete parte 2 & 3 of the assignment.  (This will assignment count as one class work grade.)

Part 2.  Prepare a fact sheet, in the form of a 5 paragraph essay that explains the important factors of the disease that you were assigned.  Your fact sheet should provide information to your friend about the disease.  Use the questions below to help you complete this part of the assignment.  (This assignment will count as one Lab grade.) 

Part 3.  Prepare a PowerPoint presentation of at least 3 minutes explaining the disease.  You must have at least 5 slides, including an opening slide stating the name of the disease and the names of the students who made the presentation.  Your presentation must be in accordance with the PowerPoint requirements listed on the website.  Use the questions below to help you complete this part of the assignment.  (This assignment will count as one test grade.)
