Each month the student who earns the most points in AR will be named the Reading MVP. He or she will have a poster with their name and picture on it displayed in the Media Center and will earn a $25 gift card. Each 9 weeks students that reach their individualized point goal (based on their reading level as determined by the STAR test) and an 85% average will be invited to an AR celebration. Media Festival Each year our students have the opportunity to enter our Media Festival. There are school, county, state, and international levels in which our students can compete. Click on the link above for more information about Media Festival. Examples of International Media Festival winners Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Each year MMS participates in the HRRB. It is a competition in which team members read from a list of 20 books nominated for the Georgia Children's Book Awards. Our team of 7 students placed first in the Liberty County Bowl, second in the Southern Regional Bowl, and 4th in the Division II Bowl.
